Citizens Advice Medway

Citizens Advice Medway offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on many subjects including:

  • debt;
  • welfare benefits;
  • housing;
  • domestic abuse;
  • employment.

Initial access is by telephone, or there are a limited number of drop-in assessments available.

Volunteers

Every CAB is a registered charity, reliant on volunteers who make up 50 per cent of the people who staff the bureaux in Gillingham. Their volunteer roles are as:

  • advisers;
  • trainee advisers;
  • administrative support workers;
  • receptionists;
  • social policy co-ordinators;
  • trustees

We offer full training and a chance to work in an interesting and supportive environment. Many of our volunteers go on to paid work, with our valuable work experience behind them.
