The Medway 100 in 100 Apprenticeship Challenge

Apprenticeships 100 in 100 logo

We are challenging businesses in Medway to generate 100 new Apprenticeship places in 100 days. Apprenticeships are good for business; 80 per cent of employers who employ apprentices agree that they make their workplace more productive (source: www.apprenticeships.org.uk).

How Medway businesses can get involved

Up and running

What a success. Medway Council more than met its target for the 100 in 100 campaign. In fact we received more than 190 pledges from 75 different and diverse businesses across Medway.

The scheme has come to an end now but there are sill opportunities for apprentices and businesses to stay involved through the European project GAPS.

The Medway 100 in 100 Apprenticeship Challenge was launched on Thursday, 19 May 2011, 8 to 9.30am, at Commissioners House, The Historic Dockyard, Chatham.

If you were unable to attend the event but want more information, or to take part in the challenge, visit National Apprenticeship Service or phone on 08000 150 600

I want to be an apprentice

As an apprentice you get the best of both worlds. You’ll be employed by a company or organisation and paid regular wages, while you learn how to do the job. Experienced staff will help you to gain the skills you need and you will also receive training from a college or training provider. To find out more about Apprenticeships in Medway visit Medway Youth Trust, phone 01634 334343 or visit your local Job Centre Plus.
