In accordance with the above legislation, Medway Council has received a request from Kent Police to review the Premises Licence in respect of Modern News, 332 High Street, Chatham, Kent ME4 4NR. The grounds for requesting a review are based on crime and disorder and prevention of public nuisance from the operation of the premises.
The application and grounds for review may be inspected at the Licensing Unit, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TR together with the licensing register pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003. Please contact licensing to make appointment to view the application on 01634 227107 / 337108). This notice will also be displayed at the premises and at the council contact points.
Should you wish to make representation to the council in relation to the review application, they must be made in writing to the Licensing Unit, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TR or by email to licensing@medway.gov.uk by 19 July 2012.
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application. Any person who makes a false statement is liable on summary conviction for the offence to a maximum fine of £5,000.
