Medway Council has developed the Gillingham Town Centre Development Framework for making central Gillingham vibrant and viable by exploiting its strengths and addressing its weaknesses, in particular the scattered layout of its long high street.

This is a vital step towards the future successful regeneration of Gillingham.

Adoption Statement

This statement has been prepared in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004  and gives notice that Medway Council formally adopted the Gillingham Town Centre Development Framework on 25 July 2007.
