Rainham
Situated on the A2
between Gillingham and Newington, Rainham town centre provides a
unique blend of modern simplicity and village ambience. Dominating
the skyline is the elegant St Margaret’s Church, made from
traditional Kentish materials.
This nestles comfortably opposite the contemporary architecture
of the Healthy Living Centre opened in 2006, with the Millennium
Centre close by, providing an ideal location to hire for
functions.
In the heart of Rainham you will find a wide mix of shops
serving the day-to-day needs of the local community. Well known
names such as Tesco Metro, Wilkinson, Lloyds Pharmacy and Iceland
sit side by side with family-run fishmongers, grocers and bakers,
whose staff, with their specialised product knowledge, provide
unrivalled customer care.
Attracting shoppers from further afield is the well-known
furniture specialist Gerald Lukehurst, two second-hand bookshops,
Medway Golf Centre and Sophisti-Cats, the local retailer for
world-renowned Swarovski crystal.
For those looking to relax, there are a variety of hair and
nail salons, florists offering beautifully crafted aromatic
displays and some unique gift and craft boutiques.
There are many places to eat and drink, from family-friendly
