Entry to Rochester Castle Gardens

The castle gardens will be open as usual during the day. The gates will be closed to the public from around 4pm when people without concert tickets will be asked to leave. The venue will then re-open to ticket holders only.

Food and drink at the venue

A range of hot and cold snacks are available in the castle gardens. Two bars, selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, will be open during the concerts. They will close 30 minutes before the end of each concert.

You may bring food and drink into the venue but please do not bring any glasses or glass bottles.

Barbecues and gas cylinders will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Seating

Tables and chairs will be permitted but not tents or awnings. A limited number of seats will be available and issued on a first come, first served basis.

Toilets

Toilets are available within the castle grounds.

Additional public toilets are also available at Northgate – a three minute walk from the venue. You will be allowed to exit and re-enter the venue through a control system at the gate.

Time of performance

The entertainment is scheduled to commence at 7.15pm each evening.

No dogs (except guide dogs) or other pets will be admitted.

Travelling by car

Rochester is just 30 miles from central London and 40 miles from the channel ports and Eurotunnel. It can be easily reached via major motorways:

Public transport

The venue can be reached by a walk of about 10 minutes from both Rochester and Strood railway stations. A number of bus routes also serve the venue.

Disabled access and facilities

Disabled guests can be dropped off at the castle entrance (main gate) but vehicles will have to be parked elsewhere.

For guests registered with the blue badge scheme, parking spaces are available as designated in the Blue Boar and Cathedral Garage car parks.

A raised, ramped area is available for wheelchair users. This is next to the mixing tower in the castle gardens. Please speak to an event steward for assistance.

Tickets

Once bought, tickets will not be refunded, exchanged or replaced for any reason. Everyone attending the concert must buy a ticket. This includes children and babies.
