Medway Lifeline

Medway Lifeline is a telephone-based community alarm system that is operated by professional, caring staff, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, providing help, support and security.

Lifeline provides peace of mind for its customers and those who care for them and is quick and easy to install. There is a free, no-obligation demonstration that can be arranged in the comfort of anyone's own home.

Who it's for:

  • elderly or young people;
  • people with disabilities or illness;
  • victims of domestic violence;
  • anyone at risk.

How it works:

  • by a simple press of a button;
  • the customer's details appear on screen;
  • instant two-way speech contact;
  • friendly and comforting support;
  • immediate response and reassurance while help is on its way.

How much does it cost?

The rental, maintenance and monitoring of the telecare unit and pendant costs just £4.51 per week. This can be paid either annually (£234.37) or monthly (£19.53) with a one-off installation charge of £36.77. This takes account of an increase of just under 3 per cent that came into effect in April 2010.
