Kent Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (KASBAH)
KASBAH provides specialist advice
to the whole of Kent, including information and support to people
whose lives have been affected by spina bifida and/or
hydrocephalus, as well as any neural tube defect.
All of KASBAH's services are available in the comfort of your
own home and home visits to give advice and act as an advocate can
be requested by phone or email.
There are also some support groups and a professional counsellor
offers free confidential sessions.
KASBAH provides training in independent living skills for 18 to
35-year-olds at a residential project in Swanscombe and a project
in Rochester. These services are available to any young vulnerable
adult, regardless of disability or impairment, as long as there is
the potential to live independently one day in the local community.
KASBAH has a growing day service at both projects and is also able
to offer respite when bedspace is available.
The Kent Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus is a
registered charity, number 6465666, company number 1123362.
