Referrals Sub-Committee of Standards Committee

The job of the Referrals Sub-Committee of the Standards Committee is to assess complaints against a councillor and decide what should happen to the complaint. There is no public right of access to the meetings or documents of this Sub-Committee. The Sub-Committee is required to produce a written summary of its consideration of the complaint, which is available to the public. In some circumstances a complainant may ask for a decision of the Referrals Sub-Committee to be considered by the Review Sub-Committee.
