Polling stations
Your polling station will be on your poll card which will be
delivered to your door. There will also be a map on the poll
card.
On election day, the polling stations open at 7am and close at
10pm.
If you have not received your poll card, you can still vote as
long as your name is on the register. Go to your polling station,
give your name and address and a ballot paper will be issued to you
so you can vote. You do not need to take any form of identification
with you.
Accessibility
The council must comply with the Disability
Discrimination Act 1995 and other laws. Polling stations
should have level access or a ramp, an enlarged copy of ballot
paper, a tactile device and a magnifying glass. The presiding
officer can cast a vote on the voter's behalf or the voter can
bring a companion to help.
The presiding officer may assist a voter but the voter must
understand the process and be able to vote knowingly.
