Paying safely online
Medway payments online has been tested using Internet
Explorer.
If you are not using Internet Explorer, please contact Cashiers on
01634 332803 in order to make a payment. It also uses
JavaScript and pop-up windows for messages. Please make sure
JavaScript and pop-ups are enabled in your
browser.
Pay your bill
online
The Medway Council online payment service uses a secure server
and encryption to ensure your card details remain secure and
confidential. When you use our website, the personal information
and card numbers you send us are encrypted, which turns them into
bits of code that are securely transmitted to us over the
internet.
The information you give us during an online transaction is used
only to record your payment. Medway Council has a duty under the
Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that the information is
only used for the purpose it is provided for and is not disclosed
to anyone else.
It is always a good idea when using a credit or debit card to
make an online payment to be aware of other people or anything
unusual as you enter your details, as this will help to prevent
them being fraudulently misused.
Please note that Medway Council does not accept payment by
American Express and cannot accept payment online by Electron or
Maestro International cards. If you wish to pay by Electron or
Maestro International cards, please contact the cashiers on
01634 332803, Monday to Friday between 8.30am and
5pm.
Please have your payment card and council reference or account
number to hand before you pay. The examples below show where on a
bill to find these numbers.
Residents and visitors to Medway can make payments online
for:
- council tax;
- business rates, National Non Domestic Rate (NNDR);
- mortgages;
- parking fines (penalty charge notices or PCNs);
- social services invoices;
- service charges;
- housing benefit overpayments;
- housing rents;
- garage rents.
