Parish councils

frMedway has 11 parishes, covering the rural areas on the Hoo Peninsula and the upper reaches of the River Medway. They have parish councils, which are funded by a parish element of the council tax and have limited powers to carry out work and deliver services in their areas.

Parish council elections take place every four years, at the same time as those for Medway Council.
