Annual Report - 2010-11

Annual Report 2010/11

Medway Council’s annual report for 2010/11 highlights achievements against our priorities together with key areas for improvement or development over the coming year.  The annual report also sets out how the council spent its £644m budget and where the money came from:

It gives an overview of how the council performed during the year.  Further details can be found in the 2010/11 year-end report which was considered by Cabinet on 5 July 2011.

The Annual Report and year-end report show progress against last year’s plan; earlier this year the Council reviewed its priorities and made some changes.  For the current financial year 2011/12 our priorities have been revised slightly. The new priorities are now:

  • A safe, clean and green environment.
  • Children and young people having the best start in life.
  • Adults maintaining their independence and live healthy lives.
  • Everybody travelling easily and safely around Medway.
  • Everyone benefiting from the area's regeneration.

Further information about our plans can be found in the Council Plan 2011/12, which include our commitments and the measures of success that we use to tell how we are doing through the year.  The plan is closely aligned with the capital and revenue budgets .
