Council plan

The Council Plan 2012-13 (pdf 63KB) is the council’s high-level, strategic business plan that sets out the council’s priorities, outcomes, objectives and key actions.

To use this file, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have it on your computer, please use our advice page.

The Council Plan is rolled forward each year. It was developed through a process aligned to the budget setting process, strengthening the link between resources and priorities. It demonstrates how the council is using its resources to meet specific local objectives. It forms an essential part of the council’s performance management framework, setting out the outcomes against which progress will be regularly measured over the coming years.

It is a key element of the budget and policy framework but it is important to note that the Council Plan is not a stand-alone document. It will be supported by our service planning framework, contributing to the development of a comprehensive planning and performance framework across the council. The council's core values and strategic priorities continue to direct the council’s work in the Council Plan.
