Customer Contact

Customer Contact can contribute directly to giving value for money and putting our customers at the centre of everything we do and can support the delivery of other priorities through the focus on excellence, efficiency, equality, e-self service & enterprise.

Initial Contact handles enquiries regarding a wide range of services:

Abandoned Vehicles - Benefits - Blue Badge Collections - Bus Passes  - Business Rates  - Children and Adult Services - Council Housing Services - Council Tax - Development Management - Drainage - Environmental Health -  Food Safety - Greenspaces - Highways - Integrated Transport - Library Services - Licensing - Pest Control - Pollution Control - Water - Public Transport - Recycling - Safer Communities -  Schools - Stray Dogs - Trading Standards - Traffic Management - Trees - Untidy Land - Waste Services

You can access the council's services from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Customers can choose how they wish to make contact either by:

  • telephone on 01634 333333;
  • email (customer.first@medway.gov.uk);
  • online services and forms;
  • visiting one of the community hubs or contact points throughout Medway;
  • using the TextRelay service (18001 01634 333333) for our customers who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired.

Customer Customer also offers a complete translation and interpreting service for people whose first language is not English through its specialist unit, the Community Interpreting Service (CIS).
