Family Information Service Directory
The Medway Family Information Service Directory is a
resource designed to assist parents, practitioners, children and
young people to find and use a range of services, resources and
activities in Medway.
Whether you are looking for childcare, support groups, fun
things to do, educational opportunities or information about your
rights, this directory provides a broad selection of options and
information to help you find the services you need. The directory
is divided into four zones.
Family
For Family Zone provides information about
organisations and agencies offering assistance in:
- parenting,
- childcare,
- parental rights,
- employment and careers,
- training,
- education
- and many other areas.
The zone aims to assist parents and carers in finding the family
support, childcare and opportunities that they need.
Practitioners
For Practitioners Zone serves as a hub of
information that supports practitioners working with all families
in Medway, as it hosts information about organisations and agencies
that are able to support and help families at all levels of need:
universal, targeted and specialist services.
Youth
For Youth Zone provides links and resources to
organisations, websites and groups that can help young adults and
teenagers achieve their potential, develop their talents and have
access to positive activities in Medway. There are educational and
extra-curricular opportunities, sports organisations, clubs, groups
and links to places to go. This zone helps parents and their
children to find resources targeted at helping children and young
people to grow and have fun. There are links to appropriate
websites and fun places to go, especially after school and during
school holidays.
Disabled and Special Needs
For Disabled and Special Needs Zone
offers information on short breaks and activities, transition, out
of school and holiday care, special schools, portage, 0-5s,
Over 5s, direct payment and financial support, home
improvement and equipment and more.
