The National Curriculum

The National Curriculum is the requirements for state schools laid out by the government. The state sector comprises maintained schools and academies. The information below has links to the Department of Education website and will give details of the different subjects and the aspects within them for each of the four key stages.

Key Stage 1

  • Five to seven year-olds
  • Year 1-3
