Terms and conditions for the use of Medway Online Applications

When completing your Online Medway Test Registration or Admission Application for your child, please read the terms and conditions set out below carefully and confirm your agreement before to submitting your application. You are strongly advised to read the appropriate admission booklet before making an online application.

1. The information I have given is to the best of my knowledge true and correct. The Local Authority (LA) reserves the right to verify the information I give and to withdraw a place if it has been offered on the basis of incorrect or misleading information.
2. I understand that, for admission applications, the address that will be used to determine the distance to the schools listed must be the address where the child spends most nights. If a child spends equal amounts of time at two addresses, then only one can be used. This may be verified by the Admissions Team.
3. If I submit an online application, I will not submit a paper application form as well. I understand that, should the LA also receive a paper form, the online application will take precedence.
4. I understand that if I wish to make an application for a school on medical grounds, I must contact the Admissions Manager.
5. I understand that the data collected by the LA from this application will only be used to facilitate admission to schools in line with the LA's and schools' admissions criteria. If I wish to make any changes to my application after the closure date for online applications, I will have to contact the Admissions Team. I understand that preferences cannot be changed after the closure date.
6. I give permission to the LA to process all of the information given in accordance with the admissions criteria and processes.
7. The data collected will not be used for any purpose other than the provision of education. The LA may share information any information that I provide with colleagues in Medway Council, relevant schools and the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

The LA undertakes to have in place a level of security appropriate to the nature of this information and that it will:

  • not hold information about you or your child that is excessive in relation to the purpose for which it is processed;
  • not keep data processed for any purpose longer than necessary;
  • keep all information about you or your child accurate and up to date - to help it to do this, please keep it informed of any changes to your details;
  • process your information in accordance with your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.
