The waiting is almost over for nearly 5,000
Medway students who sat their GCSE and A level exams this summer.
Results in Medway have improved continuously
for the past six years, with 77 per cent of students achieving
five A* to C grades in GCSEs last year.
For many students, their results could lead to
a place at university, sixth form, training or employment.
For pupils whose results may not be as good as
predicted, the message is don’t panic and take time to assess the
situation before doing anything hasty. Help and advice is available
from tutors and Connexions via Medway Youth Trust.
Parents and students can phone the results
freephone helpline on 0800 046 7603 from Thursday, 18 August to
Saturday, 10 September.
Alternatively visit the Medway Youth Trust
website or call Medway Youth Trust’s Connexions Personal
Advisers on 01634 334 343. You can also text: Medway88020 and an
adviser will call you back.
Students are also urged to contact admissions
teams at colleges and universities if their results do not meet
conditional offer grades to discuss whether they can be accepted on
to the course or be offered an alternative.
