Annual Monitoring report
Section 35 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act
2004 requires every local planning authority to submit an
Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) to the Secretary of State for
Communities and Local Government containing information on the
implementation of the Local Development Framework (LDF) and the extent
to which the policies set out in local development documents are
being achieved. Further details of this requirement are set out in
Regulation 48 of the Town
and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations
2004. The report needs to look at statistical survey
periods for monitoring which are tied to the financial year.
The report provides data for a range of datasets and is a key
component in the development of a comprehensive system for
monitoring the current Medway Local Plan 2003 (MLP) and the
emerging Local Development Framework.
The report is produced in two volumes. Volume One is the main
report, while Volume Two contains the detailed data and land
availability tables.
