Publication Draft Core Strategy
This provides an outline of the process followed in an earlier
stage of the production of the Core Strategy. It has been
made available for reference purposes and to evidence the work that
has been carried out in the development of the Core Strategy.
On 14 October 2011 the council completed a six-week
consultation on the Publication Draft Core Strategy.
It was the final version of the document produced
for comment prior to the Draft Core Strategy being submitted to the
Secretary of State for Independent Examination, as shown in the
diagram below.

This stage was not about proposing either new spatial options,
which were dealt with at previous stages, or individual sites
that will be considered during production of the Land Allocations
and Development Management DPD in due course.
The council specifically sought representations from
consultees on whether the document was sound or unsound, and
if unsound why it was felt to be the case.
