Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

To ensure that the public had the opportunity to participate fully in the preparation of the Local Development Framework (LDF), the council prepared a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This sets out the methods by which full participation will be achieved and all stages of plan preparation have to be carried out in conformity with it.

The previous Statement of Community Involvement was produced and adopted back in 2006.  However, there have been many changes in the regulations since this was done, so it was felt that it should be updated to take account of these. 

The Revised Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) (pdf 654KB) was approved for public consultation between 30 August to 14 October 2011 and was adopted in January 2012.
