Petroleum storage
Petroleum licence
Licence summary
The storage of petrol and petrol-based substances is strictly
controlled for safety reasons. To run a business in Medway where
petrol is stored for dispensing directly into the fuel tank of an
internal combustion engine or where large amounts of petrol are
stored for private use, you need a licence from Medway Council. You
will need to pay a fee and conditions may be attached to the
licence.
Regulation summary
Petroleum storage is licensed under the Petroleum
(Consolidation) Act 1928 and Petroleum
(Transfer of Licenses) Act 1936.

from the council within the 30-day target period for new
