Medway Council:

  • swept up more than 2,000 tonnes of dropped litter from Medway's streets last year;
  • provides more than 2,000 litter bins and 700 dedicated dog waste bins;
  • issues 150,000 free dog poo bags a year from contact points.

Last year Medway Council's Highways Team:

  • walked nearly 2,500 miles to ensure your journey home is safe;
  • repaired an estimated 10.6 miles of roads and 9.5 miles of pavements;
  • fixed 7,977 lights

Green Medway

  • more than 130 play and recreation areas;
  • more than 1,000 allotment plots;
  • four Green Flag open spaces at:
    • The Vines, Rochester;
    • Capstone Farm Country Park, Gillingham;
    • Hillyfields, Gillingham;
    • Riverside Country Park, Rainham.
