Recycling services
The A-Z of
recycling lets you know exactly what and where things can
currently be recycled in Medway.
Find out your recycling collection day.
You must set your location before we can show you personalised refuse and recycling collection information.
Medway’s Twin stream recycling service, which uses the
blue reusable and white reusable recycling bags, was introduced to
help increase the materials collected and keep the rising costs of
processing waste down.
In addition, the combined garden and food
waste service, will increase the amount of organic material
that can be recycled. As part of an EU project, we
are carrying out a food waste collection
trial in Medway, which will help increase the amount of
recycled food waste.
To find out what week these are collected in your area, you will
need a new recycling calendar. You can also find out about
the changes to bank holiday collections, meaning we now
pick up your normal collections, even if it is during a bank
holiday week.
You can also recycle more by using one of our many
recycling points
or three of our household waste recycling sites, where you can
recycle Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE).
