Furniture re-use

The Neighbourhood Furniture Store is a furniture re-use project operating throughout the Borough of Swale and Medway. It offers good quality furniture and electrical appliances to people with low incomes; helping them create more comfortable homes for their families.

The project was set up by Fresh Vision, a charity established and supported by AmicusHorizon, a registered social landlord. It operates as a social enterprise, providing the following benefits for the community:

 

  • The vulnerable, the disadvantaged and those on low incomes can access good quality furniture at affordable prices.
  • It provides an environmentally-friendly and convenient alternative for household waste disposal in Swale and Medway.

  • It provides jobs, training and volunteering opportunities for local people.
