Medway's handbook for care and support for adults
Medway Council aims to enable people
to live as independently as possible and to ensure that the care on
offer in Medway is of the highest quality.
Care homes handbook
The Care
homes handbook has been put together to inform people
about sources of help available to individuals and their
carers, with the choice of residential care and advise
on other services available.
The handbook not only lists
registered residential care and nursing homes in Medway but also
gives details of other services provided by Medway Council and
other local private community and voluntary agencies.
Please note, however, that the
inclusion of a provider’s details does not imply recommendation by
Medway Council.
The handbook refers to policies
for purchasing domiciliary care (home help) and care from
residential and nursing homes. To find out more about these
policies, please select from the links at the foot of the
page.
Feedback
The council is keen to work closely in
partnership with service users and carers and to listen carefully
to their views and wishes. It also aims to continue successful
partnerships with service providers who make a vital contribution
to the planning the range of social care services.
If you have any feedback about the
handbook or would like to make suggestions about articles of advice
that could be added then please contact scctcontractadmin@medway.gov.uk.
Medway Council hopes that this guide
will help you with your choice of care.
