Adult Social Care consultations
This page lists opportunities for you to have your say
about council plans and services, take part in a current
consultation or find out about a planned consultation.
Consultation is carried out by us (or on our behalf) for a
number of reasons:
- to find out what you think;
- to identify your priorities and concerns;
- to meet our statutory obligations.
Details of Adult Social Care consultations can be viewed on
this page. In addition, the council will use Partnership Boards,
Forums and Medway Local Involvement Network to ensure that all
stakeholders are informed about consultations that are taking
place.
What happens to the results?
The results of the consultation are fed back to the public,
senior managers and decision makers within the council or within
our partner organisations.
Does it make a difference?
The results of the consultation help us to:
- understand what you think about our
services and whether we could do anything
differently
- determine the priorities and concerns of
residents for a range of issues, to help us design policy or focus
resources.
The results of consultation provide part of the information upon
which decisions are made. However, we also have to consider
resource constraints and competing views.
How do we know the consultation is reliable?
Consultation programmes are reviewed to ensure that they
are:
- long enough to be meaningful;
and
- accessible (in terms of language and
meetings) to ensure involvement by all.
