Carers' Relief Service
Carers' Relief Service provides a short break to carers of
adults with a learning disability who live at home. It aims to
provide a flexible service, based on the needs of the main carers
and their dependants.
It employs personal support workers to work in the community
with the adult with a learning disability and duties can
include:
- befriending;
- shopping;
- swimming, bowling and other sporting activities;
- hospital visits;
- attending parties, clubs and other social groups;
- staying in the home.
The service also supports adults with a learning disability who
are living independently in the community.
