Housing management

Medway Council has a dedicated Neighbourhood Management team. This is made up of a senior neighbourhood housing officer, four neighbourhood housing officers, and four neighbourhood housing officers assistants.

Each neighbourhood housing officer manages a specific area. It is their role to:

If you rent your home from Medway Council, your neighbourhood housing officer will be a valuable contact and will be able to help you with any questions or problems you may have about your home. Neighbourhood housing officers are based at Gun Wharf in Chatham. This office is not open to the public, so if you need to see your housing officer, you will need to make an appointment or catch them when they are visiting your area.

Find out how to contact your neighbourhood housing officer.

Housing Officers work a core hour system, meaning that they can be contacted in the office from 9am to 10am and from 3pm to 4.30pm.

At other times there will be a duty officer available to talk to. If they cannot assist you, they will be able to leave a message for your housing officer and they will get back to you on their return to the office. You may phone the duty officer on 01634 333344. Please do not forget to leave your contact details.
