Housing Revenue Account business plan
Medway Council's business plan for the Housing Revenue
Account (HRA) shows in detail how the council plans to meet its
tenants' expectations on the service and to deliver against
government targets. The plan demonstrates the role of the council
as a landlord and how, through retention of its homes, it can
contribute to achieving national and regional priorities for
housing and the council.
In 2005, Medway Council produced a 30-year business plan for the
HRA covering the period 2005-34. An interim business plan 2011-12
has been produced as a strategic update of the Business Plan,
giving up-to-date information on the nature and condition of the
housing stock, recent management performance and targets for
improving the service in the future.
The key priorities to take the service forward are as
follows:
Resident involvement and empowerment
- Customer service, choice and complaints
- Involvement and Empowerment
- Understanding and responding to the diverse needs of
tenants
Home
Tenancy
Neighbourhood and community
- Neighbourhood management
- Local area co-operation
- Anti-social behaviour
