Today's news

One-stop-shop for landlords
Medway Council’s ambitious campaign to boost the standard of local housing takes an important step next week when private landlords are invited to a high-level conference in Chatham. Full story»

Are you recycling?
The Cuxton Household Waste and Recyling Centre is extremely busy. This is causing traffic congestion on the A228. Please be patient if you need to take items to the centre and if possible, do not go there at peak times, such as bank holidays and weekends.

Alternative household waste and recycling centres are located at Shawstead Road, Chatham and Hoath Way in Gillingham.

Please remember that the council’s local contact points are the best way of contacting the council in person
While the majority of council staff are now based at Gun Wharf in Dock Road, Chatham, this is an administrative centre and does not have public facilities. If you want to talk through issues with someone or request council services, it's best to use the contact points in Rainham, Strood, Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester.

For more information, phone Customer First on 01634 333333.
