General conditions of contract

The council has two agreed sets of standard terms and conditions that are used for most contracts:

To use these files you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have this on your computer, please use our advice page.

Other sets of standard terms and conditions will be added in due course. These are currently being worked on:

  • consultancy services;
  • IT-related goods and services.

The council may also use agreed national standard conditions (e.g. National Housing Federation, Institute of Civil Engineers, etc.), amended as necessary to meet its specific requirements.
