Shopmobility

Mobility problems not an issue

Shoppers who find it more difficult to get around can rest assured that they are unlikely to have that problem in Chatham, thanks to a Shopmobility scheme that operates there.

The service is open from Monday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm and it’s free.

The office for Shopmobility can be found in The Brook car park for disabled motorists, facing Solomons Road. The door is closed for security reasons, so customers need to ring the bell to get in.

Shopmobility provides free use of manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and powered scooters.

To register for the service, all you need to do is provide evidence of your address, for example a bill.

The office will also take car registration details. Once registered, you can book using the phone and simply turn up and collect the keys.

For more details phone 01634 830555.
