Help with health costs

Help with health costs is available when you or your partner are claiming Income Support or income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, it covers:

  • free NHS prescriptions
  • free NHS dental treatment
  • free NHS sight tests
  • vouchers towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses
  • free NHS wigs and fabric supports
  • repayment of necessary travel costs to hospital and back for NHS treatment, including fares for someone you need to travel with you.
