Medway has four cemeteries which are at:
- Chatham, Maidstone Road
- Gillingham, Woodlands Road
- Rochester, Maidstone Road
- Strood, Cuxton Road
All of these are run and maintained by Medway Council, which is committed to providing a first class service and improving the appearance and safety of its cemeteries. You can make an online enquiry to about people buried in Medway cemeteries and the location of their remains. Due the popularity of family history research, the council makes an administration charge for this service of £10 per name. An application and payment form is available upon request.
