These websites provide information and advice on drugs, online safety and give helpful safety tips for students.

Drugs

The Talk to FRANK campaign provides information on all drugs, advice on where to get help and further information about the risks and effects of taking drugs. Medway Council’s Drugs and Alcohol Action Team can to provide further local information and support.

Online safety

The Think U Know website (www.thinkuknow.co.uk) provides information on all types of electronic communication, including mobile phones, gaming websites, social networking, podcasts, blogs, file sharing and P2P TV, along with advice about how to report incidents and stay in control while online.

Student safety

This Home Office website (www.homeoffice.gov.uk/crime-victims/how-you-can-prevent-crime/student-safety) provides good all-round student advice and helpful tips on staying safe when moving away from home for the first time. There are further links to information about vehicle crime, victim support and crime statistics.

A number of units in Medway Council work together to deliver its Safer Communities policy and provide a wide range of services.
