Please note that the prices shown on the online forms on this page may not be correct and that, due to demand, not all memorial types are available throughout the year. Please refer to the fees page for the correct prices.

Traditional books of remembrance

These are held in the Chapel of Meditation at the Crematorium and provide a lasting and dignified memorial.

There are books for each quarter of the year, hand-bound and made from the finest vellum. The inscriptions are made by expert calligraphers and form a permanent artistic record.

A double page is provided for each day of the year and the books, which are displayed in protective cabinets, will remain open each day at the appropriate page so that inscriptions may be seen on the anniversary of the date of death.

Inscriptions can consist of two, five or eight line entries. Entries with five or more lines can incorporate a handpainted floral motif, family crest or service badge in full colour if desired.

To place an order for an entry in a book of remembrance, use the online form.

Digital book of remembrance

The Crematorium offers visitors the facility to view their own entries in a book of remembrance through the computerised version. These may be viewed at any time in the Chapel of Meditation by using a swipe card.

Additional screens are an option and these may display personal messages, biographies, pictures or other tributes.

The digital book of remembrance is accessed using a swipe card. You will receive a single card when you order an entry but additional cards may be purchased for friends and family by using the online form.
