Medway has hundreds of voluntary, community and faith groups. Such organisations include charities and other groups which are non-profit making.

These organisations provide advisory and other services and facilities of all kinds to people within their communities, including:

Volunteers are vital to the success of many of these groups. If you would like to offer your services by volunteering, please contact the local volunteer bureau or voluntary or community group you are interested in supporting by following the links above.

Funding is essential to all voluntary and community organisations and Medway Council's Corporate Funding Unit is available to provide information and advice about funding opportunities. Find out more about small grants for voluntary and community organisations in Medway.

Support for local charities is available from the Association of Charity Officers (www.aco.uk.net) the national umbrella body for benevolent charities: that is, charities providing aid and advice to individuals in need. Any charity helping individuals can join the Association, which can help to put charities in touch with people in need and people in need in touch with charities.

If you are a member of a voluntary or community organisation and would like your details included on the Medway Council website, please contact the Social Care Contracts Team at the address below.
