Kent Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (KASBAH)

A charity providing advice to the whole of the Kent region, information and support to people whose lives have been affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Advisers provide home visits and are available by telephone or email to give advice and act as an advocate. There are also some support groups.

KASBAH provides training in independent living for people aged 18 to 35 at a residential project in Swanscombe.

Kent Family Mediation Service

Kent Family Mediation Service provides a service for separating or divorcing couples and their children, grandparents and families. Trained, experienced, impartial mediators help couples reach workable agreements concerning parenting arrangements and financial settlement.

Meeting venues are available across Kent with access to disabled facilities, language interpreters and hearing impaired interpreters.

Legal Aid for family mediation is available if eligible (assessments are offered to all applicants); subsidised fees apply if not eligible.
