Committees

Staff within the council office are responsible for organising meetings and supporting the work of overview and scrutiny. Committee co-ordinators administer meetings of the council's regulatory committees, including its developement control (planning) and licensing committees. They also administer school admission and exclusion appeals.

Overview and scrutiny co-ordinators help assemble the scrutiny work programmes, administer committee meetings and project manage major reviews. They also draft reports and recommendations based on the debate in committees and task groups.
