Medway Council's Funding Unit seeks to provide additional support to the voluntary and community sector through its Grantnet service, a user-friendly, free service which has been devised to assist organisations to identify funding sources that are available for specific projects. The database currently holds details of more than 4,000 initiatives administered by a variety of funding providers, including the European Commission, UK government departments, local government, major charitable trusts and corporate sponsors.
Once you have registered with Grantnet (www.grantnet.org.uk/index.html?portal=Medway_Council) you will be emailed a password which will allow you to gain access. Having logged into the system, you must answer a few simple questions about your organisation and the project which you wish to undertake. Grantnet will then provide an overview of all the schemes available.
Users' input and search results will be made available to Medway Council's Funding Unit, which will be able to provide more detailed information and guidance on appropriate schemes and offer further support.
