Making sure that customers can use services at a time and place that are convenient to them is very important to Medway Council.
Over the past three years the council has opened new local offices to help make this happen. These offices, known as contact points, are now open in Rainham, Strood, Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester. The Rainham and Strood contact points are run jointly with Kent Police.
Changes to contact points and council receptions
Between March and May 2008 a number of council services moved to new locations. If you want to use a council service in person, please please check where you need to go to visit the service you need.
Changes to offices
The council has also centralised many of its administrative teams at the address at the foot of this page. You may know this as the former Lloyd’s building. Some services have also moved to other locations in Medway.
The council’s previous offices at:
- Municipal Buildings, Gillingham,
- Civic Centre, Strood and
- Compass Centre, Chatham Maritime,
have now closed permanently to the public. Some services remain in the Civic Centre annexes at Strood. If you wish to write to the council now, please write to the address below. Post will be redirected from old addresses for a limited period.
