Priorities 2007-10

Every organisation that wants to achieve has to have objectives and Medway Council is no different. It has two guiding principles for service delivery and six strategic priorities to be achieved over the next three years, to deliver our plans for Medway’s renaissance.

The guiding principles or core values are integral to all of the council’s work:

  • Putting our customers at the centre of everything we do
  • Giving value for money

The six priority areas are:

  • A clean and green environment
  • Safer communities
  • Children and young people having the best start in life
  • Older and vulnerable people maintaining their independence
  • People travelling easily and safely in Medway
  • Everyone benefitting from the area's regeneration

There is more information about the council's priorities in the performance plan.
