University of Greenwich School of Engineering The University of Greenwich School of Engineering is currently a partner with Medway Council on the European Social Fund (ESF) co-financed Prime Advantage training programme (engineering and manufacturing training and support for older workers). They are delivering foundation degree level engineering training and knowledge transfer opportunities that will help local people to strengthen their position in the engineering labour market. The University of Greenwich also co-operated with Medway Council as a partner on the Autotrain and OASES projects, both co-financed by ESF.

IPS International Ltd IPS International Ltd is a local training company that has worked in partnership with Medway Council on the delivery of training programmes for the engineering industry. As a partner in Autotrain and OASES (ESF co-financed), it succeeded in attracting over 50 local small businesses to participate in training for their staff. IPS International will deliver a series of training modules under the Prime Advantage initiative that are designed to strengthen the position in the labour market of local older worker engineering employees in order to encourage their retention in the engineering industry.

Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust is a key partner with Medway Council in the Maritime Heritage Trail project. This EU-funded project has established a tourism trail that links maritime heritage monuments in Medway, maritime Kent and the French region of Nord-Pas de Calais. The project has improved tourism reception facilities at Chatham Historic Dockyard to cater for French tourists. It has also financed the establishment of bilingual tourism information boards, designed to encourage tourists from both sides of the Channel to follow the trail. The Dockyard also works closely with Medway Council in the ASCEND project, focusing on the regeneration of former military land and heritage.

Mid Kent College Mid Kent College is a partner with Medway Council in the Prime Advantage training programme and delivers mentoring and knowledge transfer work placements for local older workers in industry. It was also a partner in the OASES training programme and delivers City and Guilds level qualifications for local people.

Kent Guidance Consortium (Careers Management Kent and Medway) The Kent Guidance Consortium is a partner with Medway Council in the Prime Advantage project and will work with partners to develop, pilot and test an innovative model of guidance and support for older workers, specifically supporting their entry into specified skills shortage sectors. The model is about supporting the individual older worker facing disadvantage in the labour market, including those in work and those seeking work.

The Third Age Employment Network (TAEN) TAEN works for better opportunities for mature people to continue to learn, work and earn for as long as they want or need to do so. TAEN is a campaigning organisation, working with the media, employers, intermediaries and government to change attitudes, public policies and practices. It is a partner with Medway Council under the Prime Advantage project.

Medway Learning Partnership Medway Learning Partnership has extensive experience of working in local partnerships. It aims to promote and develop a coherent culture and practice of lifelong learning, while raising the aspirations and achievements of the community to increase social and economic inclusion. It joins Medway Council in the Prime Advantage project.

North Kent Community Forum The North Kent Community Forum is experienced in European Social Fund projects. Member organisations work to support socially and economically excluded target groups, including older and younger workers. Working with and representing the voluntary community, it addresses issues of social and economic exclusion and is a partner in the Prime Advantage project.

All Saints Community Project The All Saints Community project is a community-led initiative responding to the Neighbourhood Action Plan designed to tackle issues of social and economic deprivation. From a small local project, the All Saints Community Project has evolved into a partnership of many statutory and voluntary agencies delivering high quality projects and services in the local area. Some notable projects include the Chalk Pitt Hill playground, employment and training programme through Reignite and pioneering home improvements scheme for the area.

Church in Society Church in Society is a charitable company, a department of the Church of England Dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester. It brings together a wide range of activity, focused on the desire to see all people and communities experience life in its fullness. Church in Society works to enable the church's effective contribution to community, economic and social transformation and has worked succesfully with Medway council in delivering a number of projects including European Social Fund and South East England Development Agency's Area Investment Framework.

Strood Community Project The Strood Community project is a joint project by St Francis of Assisi Church and the St Nicholas and St Mary church all based in Strood. The main aim of the project is to work with local people to make Strood a great place to live, work and play. This project partners Medway Council in delivering the Reignite project in Strood.

Melville and Brompton Community Association The Melville and Brompton Community Association was primarily set up to support local residents with a series of community based services. These services range from employment and training opportunities to providing communal facilities to enhance social cohesion. Melville and Brompton is a partner with Medway in delivering the Reignite project in its neighbourhood.
