Poultry keepers who have 50 or more birds should be registered with the Department for the Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

Advice on registration is available on the DEFRA website (www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/diseases/vetsurveillance/poultry/index.htm) or by phoning 0800 6341112.
