A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) has been completed for the Medway Estuary. SFRAs are intended to guide development decisions and meet the requirements of the Planning Policy Guidance Note PPG25 Development and Flood Risk.
The Medway SFRA has been prepared in conjunction with the Environment Agency and a technical guide (pdf 42KB) summarises the main report and the procedure that should be followed in applying it to development proposals.
