Visitor permits

Residents within a permit area are entitled to purchase one yearly visitor permit. This can be used on any vehicle and displays the expiry date, postcode and the badge area the permit may be used in.

A visitor permit will allow any visitor who comes to a property to park in that badge area, providing the vehicle is parked within a resident permit bay.

If a visitor permit is lost, a replacement cannot be issued. Upon expiry, a new permit can be purchased.

For the council to issue you with a visitor permit, you will need to provide the following:

  • proof of address, dated within the last three months, such as a household bill, solicitors letter or a tenancy agreement if you are renting through an estate agent;
  • payment of £20.

An application form (pdf 23KB) for a visitor permit can be downloaded here. To use this file you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have this on your computer, please use our advice page.

Medway Council accepts payment by credit or debit card, postal order, cash and cheque. Please make all cheques payable to Medway Council.
