Chatham Station

Staff On duty 24 hours a day. When the ticket office is closed, staff located near the ticket barrier can help you.
Location Off Railway Street from New Road Avenue.
Access All platforms are accessible to wheelchair users for all directions of
travel via side entrances. There is a flush kerb on the pedestrian crossing
19m to the right of the station entrance. The door is 1.25m wide. Access
to the platform is by the side entrances. There is a gate to the platform;
ring the bell here for assistance. A footbridge is available to cross to the other platform;
ask for assistance from staff.
Parking There is short and long term pay and display parking available and spaces for blue badge holders in Hills Terrace car park.
Toilets A disabled toilet is available 24 hours.
Public telephone There are cash and card telephones with doors, two cash phones with open access, 1.25m high outside the station building.
Waiting area There is a sheltered platform and a heated waiting room.
Refreshments The station has a cafeteria with tables and chairs on the London-bound platform. There are vending machines on the station and a kiosk in the booking hall.
Left luggage No facility.
Ticket office The counter less than 96cm high, two self service machines, one 1.47m high and the other 1.34m. There is a speak easy facility, open from 10.15am to 5pm daily.
Taxis In the station forecourt.




Gillingham Station

Staff On duty 24 hours a day. When the ticket office is closed, staff
located near the ticket barrier can assist you.
Location Railway Street.
Access Ramped entry and automatic doors to ticket office, flat access to coast
bound platform via side gate. There are lifts available which give full
access to the platforms to wheelchair users; ask for assistance from the
station supervisor, located on platform 3.
Parking There are no facilities for disabled drivers but bays will be installed shortly.
Toilets There are male and female toilets and a disabled toilet on platform 3 operated by a radar key, which is available from staff.
Public telephone Cash and card telephones with doors.
Waiting area Covered and heated sheltered areas.
Refreshments Kiosk in booking hall, level access.
Left luggage No facility.
Ticket office Low level approach suitable for people in wheelchairs. Self services machines
outside.
Taxis Outside station entrance.




Rainham Station

Staff On duty 5.55am-8pm (Monday-Friday); 7am-7pm (Saturday); 8am-7pm (Sunday).
Location From Station Road, off Rainham High Street.
Access Flush curb entrance to front and back. To summon the assistance needed to cross to the other platform, ring the bell by the barrier.
Parking Short stay, long term parking available behind the station.
Toilets Unisex toilets operated by radar key which is available from staff.
Public telephone Cash and card telephones, some with open access.
Waiting area Spacious, heated and sheltered areas with fixed seats.
Refreshments Morning only at the newsagents, open access.
Left luggage No facility.
Ticket office Low counter approach. Self service machines.
Taxis There is a taxi rank outside the station forecourt.




Rochester Station


Staff On duty 6am- 9.30pm.
Location Off Corporation Street, onto Rochester High Street, the station is 200m
on the left.
Parking None.
Toilets None.
Public Telephone Cash and card telephones.
Waiting Area Covered area on both platforms. London-bound is heated.
Refreshments Small unit by entrance to station.
Left Luggage No facility.
Ticket Office Low level counter approach.
Taxis No official taxi rank, but there is a taxi office to the right of the main building.





Strood Station

Staff On duty 5am-1.45am Monday to Saturday, 6am-midnight Sunday. Station wheelchair available.
Location Front entrance via Canal Road, back entrance off Station Road, both from the A2.
Access Ramped subway opposite Grove Road, with a street ramp up to the station entrance. Assistance is needed to cross to the other platforms, as the subway has steps.
Parking Short and long term parking available.
Toilets No disabled facility, male toilet only.
Public telephone Three booths, cash and card.
Waiting area Heated waiting room, three door entrance, moveable seats.
Refreshments Kiosk with open approach in booking hall.
Left luggage No facility.
Ticket office Low counter, speak easy facility.
Taxis Immediately outside the station.




Chatham Bus Station

Staff Available 7am-8pm (Monday-Saturday), 8am-6pm (Sunday);
willing to give assistance.
Location Off Military Road in town centre, approach via Pentagon Shopping Mall
which shares many facilities.
Access Via lifts with non-slip surfaces from shopping mall through 6 double doors.
Pedestrian access via vehicle exit ramp.
Parking Nearest parking in Pentagon multi-storey car park
Toilets Unisex toilets with convenient washing facilties.
Public telephones Cash and card telephones with good accessibility for wheelchairs are
available in the Pentagon Centre or outside the police station if the centre is
closed.
Waiting area Indoor bus station, some seating provided.
Refreshments None.
Left luggage No facility.
Ticket office Bus and coach tickets can be bought from the travel office in the station.
Taxis Available outside the entrance to Pentagon Centre.
