Instead, either mix your glass with other materials to spread the weight or take excess bottles and jars to one of your local bring recycling sites or household waste and recycling centres (there are separate containers for clear, green and brown glass). Flat glass, drinking glasses or Pyrex cannot be recycled but must be placed securely in your refuse bin bags.
Grass cuttings These can be put in your brown bin or bags, composted at home or taken to any of the household waste and recycling centres.
Greeting cards These can be put in your blue box or taken to one of the paper banks at the bring recycling sites or at any of the household waste and recycling centres.
